Tetradecyl dimethyl amine (DMA14)
CAS No. 112-75-4
Trade name: DMA14
Synonyms:
Dimethyltetradecylamine
dimethyltetradecylamine
N,N-dimethyltetradecylamine
dimethylmyristylamine
Properties:
Tetradecyl dimethyl amine (DMA14) is the main raw material for the production of cationic quaternary ammonium salt. It can be reacted with benzyl chloride to produce benzyl quaternary ammonium salt 1427. It is widely used in fungicides and textile leveling agents industry.
Tetradecyl dimethyl amine (DMA14) can react with quaternized raw materials such as methyl chloride, dimethyl sulfate, and diethyl sulfate to form cationic quaternary ammonium salt.
Tetradecyl dimethyl amine (DMA14) can also be reacted with sodium chloroacetate to produce amphoteric surfactant betaine BS-14.
Tetradecyl dimethyl amine (DMA14) reacts with hydrogen peroxide to produce amine oxide as a foaming agent.
